2017 Makeup Favourites

In some ways, 2017 flew buy, but in other ways, it felt like it was one of the longest years ever! I had started the year with the plan to be in London by the end, which did work out. But the process and waiting for the big move was frustrating at times. But all in all, it was a good year. With my favourites this year, I decided to be a bit a lazy on only talk about things I got this year that are my favourites, not a product for each category. Mid Year Beauty Favourites

So we have officially passed the halfway mark of the year and seriously, where did time go! I feel like I can vividly remember days in January and February like it was only the other week. This year, I don't think I have done any favourites posts and that's because I felt pressured every month to find a group of products that I have loved which were different to the months before. I just wasn't buying a lot of new stuff to be able to do these kinds of posts so I thought I would get all the products that I have tried this year (but not necessarily launched this year) and been in love with!

The Autumn Beauty Edit

The changing of seasons brings upon a change in beauty trends and styles. And though I'm not always one to follow them religiously, they do influence what I wear. By far, my favourite makeup trends are always from the Autumn and Winter seasons. Dark lips, and rich, rusty eyeshadows are my jam. I know that there are no rules in the makeup world, but there is just something about the cooler months that makes this kind of makeup just feel so right. So here is a roundup of my favourite beauty bits that will feature in my makeup on a regular basis in the next few months.

Recent Makeup Purchases

I've been a bit cheeky lately and treated myself to a few little bits. One of my life mottos is "treat yo-self". Because why not? Of course I am all for saving my money to go on a big holiday and buy all the "adults" things in life. But we all deserve a little present to ourself once in a while. Usually I'll treat myself when it's my birthday or I know I've done something that is out there for me, which is honestly a lot.

My Top 10 Favourite Products of 2016

2016, what a strange year. In general, a lot of things happened that honestly were pretty terrible. But personally, I had a great year. I welcomed the New Year in Paris and spent the rest of the month travelling around the UK, with 2 of those weeks in London. I graduated from university, I turned 21, went on my first date (yes this is a significant milestone for myself!), got my first full time job, and have started planning a big move to the other side of the world! 2017 is only going to be bigger and better and I can't wait to see what it brings me. But lets get onto the real reason for this post, my favourite bits of makeup I have used this year.

Shades of Autumn

The magical season of Autumn is upon us in Australia and I couldn't be more excited! The temperature drops, rain is more frequent, and I can now snuggle up in my doona! #bliss. This season brings all my favourite colours back in trend with all the burgundys, bronzes, and plums. I want to show you my favourite products and colours for this beautiful season!

March Favourites | 2016

March has been a super hectic month for me. A large majority of my family have their birthday's this month, and with mine at the beginning of April, things have been quite busy, and my bank account has been drained. I haven't bought much beauty wise this month, bar a few replacements of skincare bits and bobs. 

Subtle Smokey Eye With The Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette

So the other night I wanted to experiment with my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette and I created a soft smokey eye. My makeup skills are still not the best, but I am definitely seeing improvement and I feel like I can start to become more adventurous. I also want to start posting more looks, because I've always been afraid of what people might say about how I look, but lately I've been like "So what!". So I hope you enjoy this look.
