Everyday Makeup Drawer #1

One of my favourite things about moving has been redoing my makeup setup (sad, I know). But something about organising things into little sections just gives me great satisfaction! The desk in my room is the half size version of the one I had back home so that was really handy, I've filled that with some of the Muji PP Vanity dividers and on top of my desk I have my Muji Acrylic 2 Drawers, which I am using the bottom to store all my lipsticks and the top has my everyday makeup. So I wanted to give you a look into my top drawer which is what I would wear on a typical day. It makes it easy to reach for on mornings when I need to get ready quickly and contains a few products I want to use up.

London, 1 Month In

I've made it to the end of my first month in London and wow, what an experience it has been so far! When I woke up on my first morning of being in the UK it was snowing outside which was so magical! Everyone was telling me I wouldn't see snow in London but I've seen it fall twice now, so ha! If you didn't know already, I'm here as an au pair. I'm basically a live-in unqualified nanny, and in exchange for accommodation and pocket money I help out the family with the kids. The family who chose me have been absolutely amazing to me over the last month. I have felt so welcome in their home and have really made me feel like I am an extra addition to their family.

Future Reading List #1

With all my books back home in Perth, I had the urge to buy a stack of books to make it look like I have a mini bookshelf. And also, I want to really get back into my reading mojo that I had when I was in high school. So I thought I would give you an overview of what my reading is going to be like over the next month or so. You can also follow my reading habits on Goodreads, which is a great way to track what you've read, what you want to read and what your friend's have read.

Finally, A Glossier Haul

Guys, I finally did it. I finally made a purchase off the Glossier website. Ever since the release of Glossier a few years ago, I've never been fully convinced. I thought the range wouldn't be the best match for my skin type so I never went an ordered anything. Also because of the fact that they don't ship to Australia and getting it there would be an effort and a half. So fast forward to me in London, I had watched a few 2017 favourites videos where people keep mentioning Glossier and it must have been the ability to actually order it, I took the plunge and ordered a few bits.

My Goals for 2018

While I admire people who set amazing goals to start the first of January and actually follow through with them, I am not that kind of person. I find it hard to go from doing one thing and then changing habits the next day, especially after the Christmas period. I need a few days of "run up" to get myself ready to make changes, especially ones that are changing habits that have been engrained into my brain for a long time. I end up trying to set my goals like others I see and fail miserably, so this year, I've tailored them to myself and hopefully this will help me achieve them throughout the year.

2017 Makeup Favourites

In some ways, 2017 flew buy, but in other ways, it felt like it was one of the longest years ever! I had started the year with the plan to be in London by the end, which did work out. But the process and waiting for the big move was frustrating at times. But all in all, it was a good year. With my favourites this year, I decided to be a bit a lazy on only talk about things I got this year that are my favourites, not a product for each category. Let me know what your favourites have been this year in the comments below.
