Shades of Autumn

The magical season of Autumn is upon us in Australia and I couldn't be more excited! The temperature drops, rain is more frequent, and I can now snuggle up in my doona! #bliss. This season brings all my favourite colours back in trend with all the burgundys, bronzes, and plums. I want to show you my favourite products and colours for this beautiful season!

L to R: NARS Outlaw, Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette, NARS Isolde Duo, Maxfactor Bronze, Colourpop DGAF, Essence Satin Mauve, Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria, Colourpop Beeper, MAC Diva
Nails

I have always enjoyed a good dark nail polish and always tended to go for the more dark red/dark green route but lately, I have been leaning towards the deeper pinks and 'greige' shades on my nails for this season. The Urban Outfitters Nail Polish in Marsala has been one of my favourites since my trip to the UK where I bought this. It is a deep dusty pink that looks subtle on the nails but still looking different to your usual pink-y nude. 'Greige' has definitely been in this year and Essie Nail Colour in Chinchilly definitely fits that category. Another Essie polish that is probably my Autumn/Winter staple is the Essie Nail Colour in Berry Naughty, which is just a staple berry colour.

Eyes

The NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Isolde is the perfect duo to create a bright gold look for this season. If your looking for a more red toned palette, then I would highly recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette. With four shades to create the perfect autumn look, and instructions on the back, what more could you want from a quad. If your looking for something in a cream formula, the Maxfactor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadow in Bronze, is a deep bronze colour but I'm not too fond of the formula, it's too mousse like for me. The Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in DGAF is a deep shimmery rose gold shade that I have not gotten enough off. If you haven't tried anything from Colourpop yet or you want to get something new, make it be this!

Lips & Blush

One of the best ways to rock Autumn shades it definitely by using a darker or deeper shade of lipstick. If I could only pick one lipstick to have for the rest of my life, it would be MAC Lipstick in Diva. The perfect red toned berry colour for the cooler months, and also really flattering as it makes your teeth look whiter. More on the nude spectrum of things, if you're looking for a deep brown but with a hint of pink Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Beeper is the one for you. The formula lasts so well and I don't find it drying at all. Another matte option, but is much more moisturising is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria, more of a mauve brown but super flattering. One lip liner I love for the colour, formula, and the price is the Essence Lip Liner in Satin Mauve, which is super creamy and only $2! In terms of blush, most of them I own a peachy pinks but the one I do own that is more Autumnal is the NARS Blush in Outlaw, which gives a nice berry flush to the cheeks.

What do you bring out for Autumn?

  1. The Zoeva Rose Golden and Warm Spectrum palette have lovely autumnal shades. I also love the original Naked palette as it has so many warm, richly pigmented shadows that really suit my brown eyes. So many lovely products here, thanks for sharing x
