Soft Gold Smokey Eye with NARS Isolde | MOTD

The other night, I went to concert by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and it was phenomenal! Every time I leave one of those concerts (I try and go as frequently as possible) I feel so inspired and want to practice my flute even more! It did the trick while I was at uni, I made sure I went to a performance a few weeks out from any of my performances. But I love to get dressed up and go, and do my makeup all fancy. So this is how I did a soft smokey gold eye for a night at the orchestra!
Firstly I used the Australis Blemish Buster Primer  which is nice and hydrating, added a bit of the Make Up For Ever Mattifying Primer on my t zone. With a damp Beauty Blender, I applied my favourite night-time foundation Estee Lauder Double Wear. My acne scars weren't too bad this day so I didn't do any extra concealing but under my eyes I used my favourite MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. This one is great for brightening the under eye but also has a lot of coverage. To set everything, I am still in love with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Powder, it keeps me matte and doesn't look cakey. I contoured using the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette and used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle to highlight.

To fill in my brows, I have been loving using the Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil again and then I used the Benefit Gimme Brow to add some more volume to my brows. To neutralize any redness on my eyes, I used my staple MAC Painterly Paint Pot. Taking the NARS Duo in Isolde I used the gold shade all over my lid, and the dark amber shade on my outer corner to deepen it up but I didn't want to add anything darker. Then using MAC Eyeshadow in Soft Brown, I added some definition to my crease. I put on a pair of Eylure False Eyelashes in Volume 100 and add some mascara to blend them in with my real lashes. For my lips, I used Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Tulle which is a deep dusty rose colour.

  1. I've been wanting to get my hands on the Isolde duo from Nars for ages! It looks so pretty. I'm loving using MAC Soft & Gentle at the moment too :)
