November Favourites

Hello all!

November was a pretty hectic month for me and now everything is slowly winding down as we enter the merry month of December. I cannot wait for Christmas, it's definitely the best holiday of the year! Anyway, I thought I would share with you all my favourite things from the month of November.

Soap & Glory's Mist You Madly - This stuff smells amazing! I just can't get over how good it smells! It's so summery and fresh and I love spraying it every morning!

Lush's Grease Lightening - What I love about this is that it doesn't make your skin feel tight once you've put it on. It doesn't get rid of my blemishes but it keeps them under control. Which is just what I need at the moment, so this is great.

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Toner - I use this twice a day and for a good reason. It gets rid of all my excess oil and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, 2 thumbs up!

Biore Steam Activated Cleanser - This feels so amazing on the skin. You use it in the shower and the steam activates the beads to cleanse your pores. When you wash this off, you get the best feeling ever! Your face feels so refreshed after using this!

Rimmel's Apocalips Lip Laquer - I love this so much, it would have to be my favourite find this year! The idea of mixing lipstick with lipgloss is genius! The pigmentation in this is amazing and so is the lasting time. It's so easy to apply and gives a great finish. I'm in love!

Sorry for the lateness of this post but I hope you enjoyed reading my November favourites!

End of Exams Haul!!!

Hello all!

This post is long overdue but the other day I went on a bit of a shopping spree as my treat for finishing my Uni exams. It was a very successful day, but I didn't buy as much as originally thought. Which is good thing in regards to my bank account!

Kit Cosmetics

Soap & Glory Mist You Madly - This was a bit of an impulse buy because it smells amazing! I thought it would be a good everyday scent. As I'm writing this blog post right now, I can't stop smelling it, I just can't get over how much I love it!

Soap & Glory Heel Genius - Another impulse buy, my feet can get a bit dry during the summer so I thought I would give this a go. I haven't tried it out as of yet but I'm excited to try it.

Origins Samples - I originally went into Kit to check out the range of Origin products. But when I saw them all I was a bit overwhelmed by the range of products. One member of staff was very helpful and picked out 4 things I should try. I have oily-combination skin, that is sensitive and is prone to breakouts. She gave me the Origins Modern Frictions Gentle Dermabrasion, Origins Never a Dull Moment Cleanser, Origins Ginzing Moisturiser and Origins Ginzing Eye Cream. I did use the eye cream last night, and under my eyes does feel a little softer but obviously no other difference but so far so good!

Priceline

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - Everyone has been raving about these brushes so I'd thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet but it feels super soft. So I'm very excited to give this a go!

Biore Steam Activated Cleanser - This is my second bottle of this stuff. My mum got a free bottle with a magazine once and gave it to me, and then I forgot about it for a while. I rediscovered it about 2 months ago and it is one of the best things! They changed the packaging so it took me a while to realise it and find it. When you use this in the shower, the beads  are activated by the steam to help cleanse your face. The feeling you get when you wash it off is amazing, your face feels so fresh!

Australis Makeup Finishing Spritz - I've never used a makeup finishing spray so I wanted to get one to see if it would make a difference. I've heard a few people talk about it so I thought why not get it to try it out.

Lush

I just wanted to say that this was my first time buying things from Lush so I was very excited to try everything out! Thank you Chelsie for introducing me to this little slice of heaven!

Herbalism Cleanser - I've been using this for the past few mornings and it feels so good on the skin. the almond in it is a gentle exfoliator on the skin that isn't too rough. I would have to say the smell for me though is a bit off putting.

Happy Hippy Shower Gel - Lots of people love this one so I'd thought I'd give it a go. It smells fruity and I'm going to take it away with me to Melbourne because the small size is perfect.

Mint Julips Lip Scrub - My lips can get very dry and flaky so someone recommended me to try these out. I'm not a huge fan of mint but I thought this would be perfect for using after I brush my teeth to keep the minty fresh breath.

Love Lettuce Face Mask - I wanted to get the Cupcake one but they had none left (sad face). So the next best one for my skin seemed to be this one. I used it about an hour ago and my skin feels softer which is a good sign!

Grease Lightening - I tend to get lots of breakouts on my face and doctors have recommended different medical solutions but they all make my skin feel tight. I've been using this for 3 days now and no major differences, though the blemishes look less red and no tight feeling after application (YAY!).

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb - I haven't taken a bath in forever but once I saw these bath bombs, they make me want to get back into taking the occasional bath!

MAC

Prep + Prime BB Cream SP35  in Light Plus - Just the thought of foundations and the right colour for your skin sends me into major confusion! Myer had a 1 day offer of 10% almost all cosmetics, so I took this opportunity to get a foundation from MAC. I asked one of the ladies about what was the best type of foundation for my skin in the summer and she recommended this. I'm very excited to try this out!

Target

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer - I use Napoleon Perdis' Auto Pilot Primer but it is starting to run out. I got it from my Mum and the thought of having to fork out money for a new one scared me a little. So I'm on a mission to find a new one that is as good as that but with a smaller price tag. I've heard good things about this one so I'm hoping it will be as good! Also, Revlon had a deal if you spent more than $15 you got a free powder brush so why not!

Sportsgirl

I love Sportsgirl, just putting it out there!

Stripy Dress - I have been looking at this dress for a while but when I saw it on sale I had a bit of a party on the inside and quickly picked it up! I love stripes and it fits amazingly!

Sportsgirl Pout About It Lip Colour in Almost Famous - Sportsgirl do amazing lipsticks for a good price. I'm a huge fan of red but I was wanting a red that had more orange tones in it. This also has a matte finish which I love.

This was a long post that was long overdue but now it's here! Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed buying it!

Shopping Trip Postponed!

Hello all!

As you know, tomorrow is my last exam for the year! Yay! I was going to spend this Friday in the city, with all the money I've saved over my spending ban and buy a few things (understatement!). But things have popped up and I'm going to have to leave it for now, which is quite sad. I thought that with exams over I would have quite a lot of free time. But I don't as November and December seems to be the busiest times for musicians. Lots and lots of Christmas carols.

Hope everything is going well in your world and to everyone with exams, good luck!

Exams :(

Hello!

Today is such a nice day outside, but I'm stuck inside, practicing for my last exam :( Which is in 6 days, but who's counting! I am so excited for it all to be over and done with because I have planned a shopping spree for when I finish. I have a list of all these beauty products I have been wanting to try for a while, and I've been on a spending ban for a few weeks. So when it's all over, I'm going into the city to stock up on all these products! Usually the money that I probably will spend on this spree, is not the sort of money I have all the time, it's just because I've been saving it for a while.

But for the meantime, I'm stuck inside practicing for the next 6 days, not soaking up sun and enjoying this lovely weather. Not fun.

But I hope everyone else out there is enjoy the weather which your country is offering right now!

Review: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Hello all!

I'm going to do my first review and I hope you all enjoy it! Excuse my descriptive language as English wasn't exactly my best subject. Anyway, to the review!

Today I will be reviewing Rimmel's Apocalips Lip Lacquer, which I have in the shade "501 Stellar". I LOVE Rimmel's lip products so I was super excited to try this out!

"It's the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both! LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!" - Rimmel's website.

This is probably one of the best lip products I have brought! I've only had this for about a month and I've worn it around 6 times. The pigmentation in this lacquer is bloody amazing! And it also lasts a long time, which is another great feature of this product. I was out at dinner the other night and I wore this. I applied it at around 5:30, and started eating around 7:30. I was going to re-apply it but I left it at home (False alarm, it was just in the bottom of my bag). So when I got home I was like "oh no, it's all rubbed off, bummer", but NO! Well, it was a little faded, but the colour was still there, which is amazing since I was eating. I'm always self conscious when I'm out eating with lippy on because it can rub off and leave the lipstick around the outer edges of your lip but the centre has been rubbed off so you keep having to re-apply it.

So this colour I would say is a coral red shade (see, I told you I'm bad with the describing). And it's super duper bright. At first, when I saw the colour, I was a bit skeptical with wether or not it would suit me as I tend to wear deep red shades of lipstick. But I really love this, it's a real summery colour and just all round pretty!

So to sum this up, I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting lip gloss satiny feel with loads of colour. This comes in 7 other shades for you all to try out. A few shades of pink, a couple of nudes and a bright pink! At Priceline, they retail for $15.95, so I think it's pretty amazing for what you pay for it! I will definitely be going back to get some more :)

Hello!

Hello all!

My name is Lauren and I have decided to start a blog. I have wanting to do this for quite sometime and I have finally got off my lazy bottom and created this! YAAAAY! I love watching beauty vlogs and reading beauty blogs and felt very inspired by them all. My love for beauty and fashion has been steadily increasing over the past few years and I want to share my experiences with you all. All these beauty reviews help me out and I wanted to give something back.

A few things that you should know about me is that I'm from Australia, I'm currently studying Classical Performance and I spend way to much money!

Also, I will probably also post some of my rambles on here. Trust me, they might sound a bit crazy, so bare with me! And stuff about music, because it is my life!

I have exams coming up in a few days, so once those are over, my holidays will begin. This means I will be able to put lots of time and attention into this.

Love Lauren xx
