The Monthly Edit | July 2016

So one month into the second half of the year and a few exciting things have happened for me this month. I have been doing some work experience at a big company and I have loved every minute of it! The people their have been so lovely with me and have helped me develop my skills a lot and also helped me with preparing for an interview, which I was successful in! So maybe in a few weeks, I might be a full time employee which is exciting.

It has now been 6 months since I've graduated and after all that time of job hunting, I finally have prospects and will now be able to afford things! I am really excited to get into the work force and be able to start my journey to full adulthood. I don't know how this is going to affect this space. I want to still keep my blog going but I might not be able to post as regularly. But I'll see how that goes once I start the job.

I also got my 21st birthday present a few months late, my beautiful The Horse watch in brushed rose gold and walnut. Ever since I got it a few weeks ago I have been wearing it everyday! I always struggled to where watches when I was younger but I am so in love with this one that I think I'll never take it off.

BEAUTY

There have been a few products this month that have been used almost everyday, and for me that shows just how much I truly love and trust them. Firstly, the Zoeva 227 Brush is fast becoming my favourite eyeshadow brush. I use it to add a wash of colour to my lids and it blends everything out seamlessly with little effort. Also the Colourpop Liner in BFF has become my go to nude lip liner. It glides on smoothly and is the perfect nude colour for myself. I've always struggled with nudes because my lips are very pigmented and are naturally dark, but I have super pale skin, so I have to find a colour that will be light enough but not too dark against my skin.

MUSIC, MOVIES, & TV

This month in music, I have falling back in love with John Newman. He released his new single a few weeks ago which is written by Calvin Harris, and is supposedly about the whole Hiddleswift situation written in Tom's point of view. I'm on the fence about this theory but every time I hear the opening words 'low key', I can only think of Loki! But back on the subject of John Newman, I loved his first album and I never really heard his second one, so I've been playing that on repeat the last few weeks, and his song I'm Not Your Man hits me right in the feels! He has such a unique voice and I would love to see him live!

I haven't been watching many movies this month and none have come out that I'm really desperate to see, which is a bit of a shame. But I have been watching some good TV lately. Me and my sister finished watching all 10 seasons of Friends. It was a wild emotional roller coaster but it was so good to see every episode in order and fall in love with the characters all over again. I have gained a deeper love for Phoebe this time around and Chandler is still my favourite! I've also been watching some Friaser with my mum as it's her favourite show, and it is hilarious! You don't see many people talking about it these days but it's such a classic and deserves much more recognition than it gets.
