September Playlist | 2016

I think that this months playlist can be summarised like this; oh my goodness, I like Justin Bieber? I never used to like the Biebs, his music, especially the "Baby" phase, every time I heard that song I would have the urge to chuck appliances at the walls. But lately, I am so surprised at how I've been enjoying his songs. Mind you they are both collabs so it's not entirely his own, but it's progress right? "Let Me Love You" has been one of my favourite car jams for my early morning trips to the station.

August Playlist | 2016

I fell like this month I've been listening to a lot more music. I've just started working in the city so I catch public transport for half and hour twice a day, so I have heaps of time to listen to music and really focus on it. Even though I've been listening to a lot of new music this month, I've been loving scrolling through the playlists on Spotify for some old gems!

July Playlist | 2016

The most prominent part of my month of music was my rediscovery of my love for John Newman. I loved his first album Tribute but I don't know why but I never got around to listening to his follow up, Revolve. However the other week, he released his new single Ole`, which is written by Calvin Harris and is "supposedly" about the whole HiddleSwift situation. At first I wasn't to keen on it because it sounded different to his previous stuff, but after a few listens I am totally addicted! So I've been listening to his second album on repeat and it's amazing stuff, his voice is amzing and makes me weak at the knees!

June Playlist | 2016

This month in music has been all about discovering and falling in love again with Adele. I love her new single "Send My Love", and I've been listening to her whole new album and everything else. I watched her show she did with Graham Norton and she seems like the most down to earth person and she is absolutely hilarious! I would love to be friends with her! And her voice! UGH! Also, I was talking to some friends about our favourite Justin Timberlake songs the other day and I mention "Signs", which is technically a Snoop Dog song, but how could anyone forget this little gem! Such a good song to dance around your room to!

May Playlist | 2016

Another month, another playlist. This month I've been seriously loving listening to the current The 1975 album, and  Change of Heart has fast become one of my favourites. The CD has been in my car for the past month and I'm still loving it! I also started listening to Melanie Martinez and I've realised why everyone raves about her! Got a bit of George Harrison in there, and The Archies, very retro!

April Playlist | 2016

April has been the month of new discoveries in music and also the return of one of my favourites. The Last Shadow Puppets have returned with a new album and it's as lush as the first one. Alex Turner's voice makes me weak at the knees, it's so velvety. I've been loving listening to Little Mix this month which is weird because I never liked them before and I haven't listened to as much pop music, but I'm loving there newer album.

March Playlist | 2016

This month I've been listening to a whole bunch of albums in full, which I love to do and I didn't really get the opportunity to last year because it was so hectic. My jam this month has been Dua Lipa's song "Be The One", makes me want to dance like a loony around my room! I've been obbsessing over RUFUS' album Bloom and Lapsley's Long Way Home. Still have been loving the new addition of the Beatles on Spotify, bringing back so many memories of my holiday visiting Liverpool and the Beatles museum. February Playlist | 2016

This month's playlist has some seriously bangin' tunes on it. Matt Corby, The 1975, and Flume have released some really cool music recently, which has been on repeat. Also, I discovered BØRNS who has the most amazing voice and his tunes are super catchy! I've been listening to a lot of the Beatles ever since I visited Liverpool, the home of the Beatles. Their music is so influential and I think will definitely stand the test of time!

August Playlist | 2015

August has been one of the most stressful months of my life so far. Uni went back, and it was straight into performances and assessments. The blog has been put on the back burner at the moment because any spare time at the moment has gone into organising my holiday or catching up on some well needed z's. There has been some really good music that has come out in the recent months including some new Mag Mac stuff and the Jungle Giants new album. Hope you enjoy!

June Playlist | 2015

June has been such a crazy busy month! I had a few performances but it was mainly the exams that were stressing me out. Now that they're all done and dusted, I've had some time to relax, do some shopping and listen to some more music. This months playlist is very Eurovision. Eurovision was last month and I was obsessed. It includes some of my favourite songs from this year's competition and a few new songs by old Eurovision contestants.

I have been so busy lately, than my blog has been a bit neglected. I have exams coming up soon, so hopefully I can schedule a few post, because I miss blogging. So I've gathered up some of my favourite songs from the past month that have helped me through long days at uni and busy weekends  of studying.

I've been loving Florence's new songs lately and I can't wait for the new album. Also, the same goes for Tame Impala, the song "'Cause I'm a Man" has been my jam for the past few weeks. Enjoy!

March Playlist | 2015

There have been some great new releases in the past month in terms of music. A new florence song and an album on the way too. Loren has a new single and it's fabulous as expected! Mumford & Sons released their new track and NO BANJOS! WHAT?! It's gonna take me a while to get used to their slightly different sound but I'm still digging it.

The Ultimate Christmas Playlist

I present to you the ultimate Christmas playlist! Christmas is my favourite time of year and it's not complete until I bring out the Christmas music. Michael Buble is a staple during the festive season and so is Mariah Carey. There is something so special about this music and the all the ones on this playlist hold special memories. The Mariah Carey tracks remind me of when I was young because I cannot remember a Christmas when this wasn't on constant rotation in my house. The Pouges' Fairytale of New York would have to be my favourite Christmas song. Bruce Springsteen's Santa Claus is Comin' to Town reminds me of my Dad because he is a massive Bruce Springsteen. Also, Christmas is All Around Me from Love Actually is there because Love Actually is my favourite Christmas movie of all time! And lastly, two versions of All I Want For Christmas Is You. the Mariah Carey album is what is in our car if we're going to another family members house for Christmas and when this song comes on, we all belt it out, wether the windows are down or up!

November Playlist | 2014

I've listening to a few "new" artists this month. When I say new, I mean new to me. Artists like Ella Eyre, Peace, and Banks have been on rotation for the past few weeks. Especially Peace, I saw the lead singer on Never Mind The Buzzcocks a couple of weeks ago, and I just fell in love with their music.

Usually, I love listening to chilled out music in Autumn and Winter. But this months playlist is about 80% chill, which is weird for me at this time of year. I've been obsessed with George Ezra, and his mellow deep voice. Also the new Clavin Harris song "Blame" because I also enjoy John Newman's voice, it's a bit different but so beautiful. MUSIC MONDAY | Summer Playlist

I have decided to run an idea by you - Music Monday! This is probably the least original idea but it's the best I could do! I love music and everything about it. I'm currently studying Classical Music at Uni which is great fun. I've picked the first Monday of every month to share all my music loves with you. It might be a playlist, an album review or music news. I hope you like this idea, let me know if you do in the comments!
