Empties #8

I want to restructure how I write out my empties posts. I felt like it was a bit tedious and would sometimes be a super long post. I would list each product individually, write my thoughts on them and then say whether I would repurchase them or not. Now, I want to write two sections; one fore repurchases and one fore the products I wouldn't buy again. I feel like the posts will be more concise, and hopefully more likely to be helpful. I link any reviews of the products for a more in depth review.

THE REPURCHASES

I loved the Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash, definitely the perfect winter fruity scent and it lathered up nicely. The Clinique Take The Day Off Balm is probably one of my favourite products to get all my makeup off and didn't irritate my skin like some makeup removers can do. The Lush Tea Tree Toner Water is something I love to use morning and night to refresh my skin, I feel like my blemishes are less irritating when I put this on. The Colab Dry Shampoo would have to be my favourite dry shampoo now, they feel so light on the hair and don't leave a white mark. And the scents are on point!

I finished my second compact of the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural which is probably still my favourite setting powder, light but gives a hint of coverage. I finished 3 mascaras and I loved them all! The L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture, Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Express, and the Clinique High Impact Mascara would be the ones I would definitely buy again. The Maybelline Brow Drama Brow Mascara, is a great brow gel and made my brows look neat. And of course a cult buy, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. One of the best multi-tasking concealers out there.

GOODBYE

I really didn't like the Mecca Cosmetica Brush With Success Brush Cleaner, I felt it didn't really get any makeup off the brush and the smell was so strong. I don't think I'll be buying any Batiste Dry Shampoo from now on unless it's the coloured one as I much prefer the Colab ones. I did like the Lush Roots Hair Treatment, but I feel like it's not what my hair needs now and didn't really mix well with my coloured hair. I wasn't a huge fan of the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free, it was alright but I didn't notice any differences when I didn't use it. I didn't enjoy using the Lush Enzymion Moisturiser, it had a strange watery texture and would separate in the container. I didn't find the Garnier 2in1 Express Eye Makeup Remover to be effective in getting all my eye makeup off.

What have you finished up recently?

  1. Awesome empties! I have a tub of the Clinique cleansing balm waiting for me to use, I'm super excited to finally try it! I loove Lush tea tree water, so refreshing and I feel like it does something but it's also super gentle!
