What I've Read Recently #4

Ever since I started my new job a month ago and I've been catching the train to work, I have been reading non stop. Even though public transport takes longer than a car ride, it's nice to just sit for a good 20 minutes and read. I've been reading some really good books lately, and as usual, I would love to talk about them with you!

What I've Been Reading Recently #3

At the present moment, I'm in a bit of a reading slump and it means I am falling behind on my goal of 25 books to read for the Goodreads Reading Challenge. But about a month ago, I was on a roll and read a few books back to back. I borrowed a few books off my Aunt yesterday, who is an avid reader, and hopefully they can get me back into the reading mood.

What I've Been Reading Recently #2

As I've talked about before, I've embarked on a reading challenge this year to read 25 books. I've been tracking my progress on Goodreads, you can follow me here, and I'm right on track! The year started off slowly but over the last 2 months I've been reading a lot more and it makes me feel really good!

What I've Been Reading Recently #1

This year, I decided to take the Goodreads Reading challenge, and I have pledged to read 25 books by the end of the year. So far I have read 4, and we are a quarter of the way through the year which means I'm a bit behind my goal, but I don't want to push myself to read quicker just to reach a goal. I want to enjoy reading these books and not feel like it's a chore. I used to be an avid reader when I was in school, I read at the breakfast table, on my way to school, on the way home, and before I went to bed. I want to make reading something I love and enjoy again.

My Reading Goals For 2016

So my 2015 reading challenge was a bit of a fail. My goal was too high, and my life got too busy towards the end of the year. In the end. instead of reading for enjoyment and relaxation, it turned more into a race against the clock. This made reading not enjoyable.

My 2015 Reading Challenge

As I talked about in my 2015 goals, I wanted to read 40 books this year. To some people that doesn't seem like much but for me that's a lot. I used to be so into reading and I go through a book a week. But as uni got busy and I spent more time on my laptop, I didn't read for a while. But his year, that's going to change. I use Goodreads to keep on top of what I'm reading and to track my progress. I also love seeing what my friends are reading and it gives me inspiration on what to read next.

So far I've read 5 books, which means I'm behind schedule. At the moment I'm reading two books, one for leisure, and one for uni, which means it's taking me longer to get through them. But when I get days off from uni, I know I'll catch up. I love reading at night because it helps me relax, and it's much better than staring at a screen before you go to bed which stimulates your mind.

It's never to late to start the challenge! Add me on Goodreads, and get reading!
