Doing my Sister's Makeup | Semi Formal
So my sister isn't into makeup, which is totally fine. But whenever she has a special event for school, e.g. her semi formal, I jump at the opportunity to do her makeup. Now I'm no professional but one day I'd like to do a small course on makeup, but for now, my sister is my model, which she isn't too keen on. So when she asked me to do her makeup for her semi formal, I jumped at the chance!
Because she's not into makeup, she lets me have a bit of a free reign but I know she wants something simple. Which is good, because if she asked me to do a cat eye, I would have been screwed because I can't even do one properly on myself. I started off by applying the Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer to help her makeup stay on during the night. Then I used her BB cream which is the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter Daily All-In-One BB Cream in light which matches her well. For concealer, on her face I used the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and for under the eyes, I used the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. To powder her face I used the M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder to add a bit more coverage. I then added a bit of colour to the cheeks using NARS Powder Blush in Deep Throat. I then used the NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and the M.A.C. Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly to prime her eyes. I got to use my favourites eyeshadows at the moment, the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I used the shade Foxy as an all over base, then Tease in the crease. Then Booty Call in the inner corners to highlight, Chopper over the lid with a wet brush to intensify the colour then I used Blackout to subtly line the upper lash line. To finish off, I used her Clinique High Impact Mascara and Revlon's Colorburst Lipgloss in Peony.
I wish I had taken a photo because she looked so beautiful and natural, if I do say so myself. I can't wait to do her makeup again.
What are your favourite looks to try on different people.

Makeup For When You're Feeling Poorly
Well my second dose of the flu this year couldn't have come at a better time. Not. I just started my lot of exams this week and next and I had a performance last night. Lets just say that playing the flute when you can't even manage to swallow is not the best experience. The performance was at my old school and I didn't want to look like an extra in Frozen. Picture this, blue lips, skin a shade lighter than white, and I'm supposed to stand under a spotlight for 10 minutes. Not ideal. So I rummaged through my makeup draw to find any product that featured the words brightening, illuminating and anything that had a shimmer. I don't own many products like this because of my oily skin and I prefer a matte face. So here are some of the products that made me look like I hadn't spent the last 12 hours in bed.
*Sorry for no pictures, I'm still in bed, and it's 6 in the evening. I got home from my exam and dressed in my pyjamas straight away. Living the life!
Firstly underneath my foundation, I used Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights in Pink Light. I applied it to where one would usually highlight; the cupids bow, my cheekbones, above my nose, and underneath my brows. I gives a slight shimmer, but when you apply foundation over the top, you look healthy and glowing. Then I used M.A.C. Select Cover- Up in NW15 for underneath my eyes to highlight as my bags were in full form that day. Even though it is a shade darker than my foundation - yes I am that pale - it still brightens the area well. And no creasing, hurrah! Lastly, I used my NARS Blush in Deep Throat - still giggling - on my cheeks as it adds a nice shimmer without looking like oil slick. Also, the rest of my products I used on my face that night were just some regulars; M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid in NW 10, Napoleon Perdis Primer, M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder in C2, M.A.C Studio Fix Concealer in NW20, ChiChi Classics Palette, M.A.C. Eyeshadow in Wedge, Australis Lip Liner in Nude, M.A.C. Lipstick in Mehr.
So again, sorry for the lack of posts, once exams are over I will have an abundance of time on my hands to have some fun. Also, the day after my last exam, I'm going on my bi-yearly end-of-exams shopping spree. I can't wait!

My Everyday Face
Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, uni has been absolutely hectic! But this week is my week off so I'll try and write as much as possible! Anyway, I always love looking at what people use on an everyday basis because it shows the products that they trust the most to wear day to day. So here are mine!
FACE
Firstly, I prime my face using the Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot Pre- Foundation Skin Primer. This stuff makes your skin baby smooth which helps your foundation glide on smoothly. Next, the foundation. I use M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I have oily skin so this foundation is great at keeping the oil at bay during the day, has amazing coverage and I finally found a foundation that perfectly matches my skin! Then I conceal my blemishes with M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 and for underneath my eyes I use Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. Then I set it all with my SAVVY Mineral Loose Powder in Translucent. This stuff is amazing and dirt cheap! To finish it off, I then apply M.A.C Powder Blush in Melba. This colour goes with any look so it's great for everyday, and when you want to go from day to night without changing a whole lot.
EYES
I keep my eyes simple for the day. Starting off, I use M.A.C Paint Pot in Painterly. Perfect for nuturalising your eyelids to get rid of veins. Some days I skip eyeshadow but my favourite simple one swipe eyeshadow is Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow in 03 Lucky Penny. I think they have discontinued this, MEGA SAD FACE, but I bought a spare before they took it away. This shade is a perfect everyday pinky beige with shimmer and would look amazing on anyone! This was also my very first eyeshadow, my Mum gave it to me when I was about 10 and as you can see it's almost gone. Nooooooo! Next is mascara, and I use Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless and this is fantastic! No clumps, just perfect black lashes. When I can be bothered to do my brows, I use Maybelline Master Shape in Deep Brown.
LIPS
I always keep it simple during the day because I'm at uni everyday, and wearing certain lip products can damage my flute so I just use my trusty Maybelline Baby Lips to keep my lips moisturised. If I do wear anything on my lips, it's Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Peony which is a great everyday colour.
Voila! This is what I wear on my face almost everyday! Hope you enjoy!

January Favourites ♡
Hello! I can't believe it's already the end of January! Time has been flying right by and it's almost time to go back to Uni! Crazy! So that means it's time to share my January favourites with you all. I have no skincare favourites because I've been using all the same products so I haven't tried out anything new.
BEAUTY
I haven't tried out a lot of new products this month, some are just rediscovered favourites! Firstly, I have rediscovered my Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil in Deep Brown. I've had this for about 2 years, but I never used it at first because this was a lot darker than my natural hair colour. But after dying my hair last year, it finally matches but I only started using this after Christmas. It comes with a spoolie on the end which is great for brushing the product through. Another rediscovery is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Peony. My Aunty bought it back from South Africa for me a few months back but I lost it then found it a few weeks ago. The colour is amazing! It's like a peachy pink with a slight gold shimmer, so pretty! The MAC Blush in Melba is such a gorgeous matte colour for summer, it's like a dusty peachy pink (my colour descriptions are terrible!). It stays on for ages without getting all smudgy from the Summer heat. You all know my love for the Revlon Lash Potion Volume & Length Waterproof mascara, I'll leave a link here so you can read about it in more depth. And I have come to one of my favourites of all time! My Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer. I forgot to put it in my 2013 favourites but this stuff is amaze balls! It feels so moisturising when I put it on and it makes my makeup stay on all day long! The only bad thing about this is the price tag at $59 for 50ml (ouch!) but it's worth it for the quality results!
MUSIC AND MOVIES
I've seen a few movies this month and I've loved them all. I saw Frozen, Anchorman 2 and the Book Thief. In my opinion, the book was a lot better than the movie but the movie is still amazing! If you haven't read the book, I suggest you read it. It is the beautifully written books I have ever read and made me cry so much! Check it out! Also, I've been really getting into AlunaGeorge's album Body Music. Usually I don't listen to that kind of music but it's really catchy and just a great album all together.
Hope everyone had a happy January!

What I got for Christmas (Beauty Related)
Hello all!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This post may be a bit late, but I finally decided to sort through my bags of gifts to put them away for use. This year I got a lot of beauty related products for gifts which I'm all very grateful for. I hope you don't think this a bragging post because that is not was this is about. I just wanted to share with you all these awesome products I received.
Firstly, from my cousin as a secret Santa present, I got the Chi Chi Glamorous Colour Kit Nudes. I have been wanting that Nudes palette for a while as I see it as a substitute for the Naked palettes as they are hard to get in Australia. This kit comes with 2 eyeshadow palettes, a bronzer, a blush, and two lip glosses. From my sister I got Marc Jacobs' Oh Lola EDP. His perfumes are the most amazing scents ever, I'm really into fruity/floral scents and this is my 3rd perfume by him! And it won't be my last! From a friend I got a Madagascan Vanilla Flower gift set which is really beautiful. Another friend got me a few things from Lush, the Karma Solid Perfume, a Big Blue Bath Ballistic and the Magic Wand Bubble Bar. We both had a limit at Lush to get each other some things we wanted or things we thought it each other would love, it was very fun.
From one Aunty I got a Peter Alexander Shower Cap which is really cute, and an Opi Nail Lacquer in Tiffany Case. From my Aunty and Uncle I got the Tommy Hilfiger Loud for Her EDT Gift Set. I've never heard of this one before but it smells so fresh and light.
From my parents I got 4 Artiste by Manicare brushes. These brushes are pretty good and are great for travelling as they are smaller than average brushes. I also got from them the MOR's Destination London Hanging Fold Out Cosmetic Case. I had been wanting this for a while as my old cosmetic bag was getting too small and started to rip at the seams. I'm heading off to Melbourne in a few days so I'm excited to try this out to see how everything fits because I tend to take my whole bathroom in my makeup bag (oops). It also came with a free Honey body scrub which smells yummy even though I'm not a fan of honey. I also got some money which I bought Napoleon Perdis' Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer. This stuff is very pricey and when I ran out a few days before Christmas, I had a mini breakdown. So when my parents gave me some money for Christmas I knew what I was going to put it towards. This stuff is amazing, I don't know where I would be without it but I'm on the hunt for a cheaper primer.
Lastly, in my Santa stocking I received, a Manicare Eyelash Curler, a Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Soothing Cherry, Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, The Body Shops Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel and a Body Shop Bath Lily. All the things I get from Santa in my stocking are usually all essential things which is great!
I hope everyone one got what they wished for and had a good Christmas spending time with all your loved ones. What did everyone else get for Christmas, let me know!
